Assistant Instructor

 

A highly desirable and rewarding internship, the PADI Assistant Instructor is your next step towards instructor. Becoming a PADI Assistant Instructor provides valuable hands-on teaching experience with students, all under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.

Course Prerequisites

  • Be a certified PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another recreational diver training organisation
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Submit a medical clearance for diving signed by a physician, attesting to fitness to dive
  • Have completed and logged at least 60 dives.

The PADI Assistant Instructor teaching opportunities

  • Certifying students as PADI peak Performance Buoyancy Divers
  • Conduct the Complete Discover Scuba experience
  • Conducting the Emergency First Response  Course
  • Certifying students in non-diving specialities such as Equipment Specialist
